This was the best Tucson family photo session because it was at an amazing in the rustic setting on Mount Lemmon AND this was the 3rd time I had captured this family! I was so thrilled to do so again!

The crisp autumn air was a welcome change as I made my way up the winding road to Mount Lemmon ready for the best Tucson family photo session. The last of the fall colors of the Cottonwood leaves greeted me, painting a picturesque scene against the clear blue sky. I couldn’t help but feel excited for the photo shoot ahead, knowing that the stunning backdrop of nature would only enhance the beauty of the family I was about to photograph.
As I arrived at the location, I was greeted by the family of four I had come to know so well over the years. The siblings, with their contagious smiles and playful energy, were always a joy to work with. This was the third time I had the pleasure of capturing their special moments, and each time felt like a unique opportunity to watch them grow and change. Check out how much fun we had at our session last year!
The sun was beginning to dip towards the horizon, casting a warm golden light over the trees and the rustic wooden bridge that stood nearby. I knew that this was the perfect moment to start capturing the magic of the evening. Mixing my off-camera light with the golden glow of natural light has always been my favorite tool as a photographer, and I was eager to make the most of the soft, flattering glow that the sunset provided.
As I began to direct the family into natural smiles, I couldn’t help but notice how adorable the kiddos were! It was moments like these that made me love what I do – capturing the joy and love of families every year. The rocks and high grasses made for a rustic backdrop, adding a touch of character to the best Tucson family photo session that I knew the family would cherish for years to come.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and the last rays of light kissed the tops of the trees, I knew that I had captured something truly special. The beautiful fall day on Mount Lemmon provided the perfect setting for a memorable photo shoot with a family that felt like old friends. I left the shoot feeling grateful for the opportunity to do what I love and for the connections I had made with such wonderful clients. I can’t wait to see what new adventures and photos await us next year.
