Fantabulous Friday {10} Permanent Vacation

We’ve lived a lot of places. But Tucson is the first place where it feels a little bit like being on vacation – all of the time. That sounds fantabulous, I know! But it’s also wicked distracting. Because, really, who wants to sit in a dark room editing all day when there’s a pool to be swum in and poolside drinks to be had and mountains to climb? ; ) I’m daily channeling my inner drill sergeant to stay on-task, and since I’ve worked from home really my whole post-grad-school life it’s not like these are new and untested waters! I’m still getting tons of work done, no doubt. But when the wind blows cool and the temperature drops to somewhere between pre-fall and bliss, and the sun is setting over the mountains right outside my window, well, you might just find me out and about, enjoying the wide open spaces, being a tourist in my own town.

So take a break this weekend and play tourist. You never know what you might discover!

Here are a few images taken a few weeks ago when my husband and I took a little road trip to check out some locations for future family portrait sessions and found an amazing monsoon-sky paired with a spectacular sunset. Delight!
