Mt Lemmon Senior Pictures

I want to lead with a testimonial for this particular senior session!

“My daughter is a senior this year. The pandemic has created many challenges to the “normal” milestones of everything senior- from (no) Homecoming to (questionable) Prom. So I was really excited to give her a full Senior Portrait Session experience, and Jacquelynn did NOT disappoint. We did Mt Lemmon Senior Pictures from top to bottom and Jacquelynn expertly scouted out a variety of scenic locations. From aspens and snow to flowy grasses and touches of Autumn, to Saguaros at sunset, she captured her beautifully. We are so happy to have these stunning shots for years to come!

I keep thinking about how the pandemic changed so much of how we do things, and somehow also how much of what we had more time to focus on during that season has now faded a bit as normal life has returned. If there is one thing I could emphasize that maybe we did better, and I would like for us to continue to do, is to think about the importance of relationships and family in terms of capturing those moments photographically to cherish later.

Life is so busy. And it only seems to get busier the closer we get to the holidays. Fall in Tucson isn’t as obvious, but as the temperatures start to hover closer to 90 instead of 106, and as mornings feel a little crisper, I am gearing up for Tucson family photos and Tucson senior pictures. Fall is the busiest time for me and I love it. Many families hire a photographer in the fall because they want to capture photos for their holiday cards. Many high school seniors want photo sessions now so they can avoid the spring crush. Also, the temperatures are more than tolerable and we still have enough green from the summer rains to make the landscape lush.

But if you’re not a fan of the desert, Mt Lemmon senior pictures is another location alternative. I love Mt. Lemmon because of the variety and changing landscape and light. I have photographed at almost every pull-off – Saguaros, High Desert, Pines, Aspens, Rose Lake, Windy Point. Catching the fall leaves can be tricky and does require a major time investment, but there are so many more options much closer.

For these Mt Lemmon senior pictures, we did indeed canvas the entire length of the mountain and we even had some snow at the top (though the leaves had mostly fallen) but it was a lot of fun to start at the top and work our way down for sunset among the Saguaros. It’s a more time-intensive excursion and still really only involves 3 major stops (so we do have to narrow it down a little because the light waits for no woman) but it is definitely fun.

So this fall, if you’re looking to refocus on family, to capture relationships, or to get ahead of the game and get senior pictures done now, I am ready to be your photographer! Follow / reach out to me on Instagram or call or text 610-662-1823 and we’ll turn beautiful moments into memories.
