Trains {couples in love, Tucson engagement photographer}

there’s something about trains that have always appealed to me visually. And when I randomly passed by this amazing train yard en route from some photo excursion or another, I immeditely earmarked it for a return look. And I haven’t been disappointed. I try not to re-use locations too often – which can be hard to do in a small town – but even when I do use a location again, I try really hard to see it from different angles. To walk around when before I stood in front of. To take the left fork instead of the right. To try a different time of day, or a different time of year. And despite having done several sessions here, I’m pleased to say that I continue to be inspired by new views and new light each time. And of course the people make the difference. Celena and Eric were just fun enough to climb aboard and pose for me – something I’d never ask a family with small children to do, for safety reasons of course! – but also just cool enough to look good once they got up there. So enjoy this {sneak peek} of my a couple in love, a la train yard.

Fields of Green {Tucson Family Photographer}

I absolutely love morning sessions – these moments have a resplendence and radiance to them that blesses those of us who arise with the sun to greet the day (though, let’s be honest, that’s rarely me!). And the bonus is that usually the kiddos are not just well-rested, but happier (though it sometimes takes them a minute to wake up). I couldn’t be more pleased with how this session turned out…beautiful, buttery light with three kids under four? yes, please!

The Alvarez Family {Tucson Family Portrait Photographer}

I always love shooting in new locations and when Danielle mentioned the Air Park on the base, I was intrigued but, always with a photographer’s eye, I wanted to be sure we could get amazing images, so I suggested two locations – one nature and one the Air Park. I’m glad we did both, because I love variety! But the air park was my favorite! The light was just perfect and the kiddos, contrary to most, actually got happier towards the end of the session! Hooray!
