when Glenda contacted me about doing a very special portrait session to capture the generations of her family, I was thrilled! There’s really nothing more important than family, and catching the love, the silliness, the kiddos and their antics, are all part of what matters, and what’s worth remembering.
Sooo, this session is from ages ago and I cannot believe I never posted it! One of my fav Dayton families that totally bring it – every time – to the sessions. Tabs introduced me to the term “offbeat” as it relates to families, and children, and now even a genre of photography and lifestyle – it’s that blend of unique and quirky and individualistic and colorful that can never be duplicated. It’s being you. And not being afraid of what that means. There are certainly varying degrees of offbeat, some more extreme and some more sedate. I haven’t done all the research, but I know it can get a lot more colorful than anything I’ve ever photographed : )
I would categorize this session as “offbeat light” and it, like coffee with cream and sugar (just how I like it), still packs a punch without sending me over a caffeinated edge. Enjoy!
only 5 days old, this little guy had some of the reddest hair I’ve ever seen on a newborn – sooo adorable!
still posting images on facebook and blog from pre-Christmas sessions : ) but this wraps them up – one of my all time ever favorite families ever (did I say ever?) …oh how the years have flown!
Love is in the air with this special Valentine’s day post!
Please enjoy my absolute favorite images from a very special winter wedding with a very beautiful and so in love couple. The whole family couldn’t hold back the tears of joy as this couple said I do amidst truly winter weather (for South Georgia anyway) at Gin Creek! Jessie planned every last detail and really succeeded in throwing a rustic chic celebration.
and here is the video!
