Q: Where can I see examples of the photos you've taken?
A: First, check out the website at www.jacquelynnbuck.com/realwomen
You can also find more images at www.jacquelynnbuck.com/morerealwomen.html
If you want to see other images, please contact me and I can direct you to several unpublished sessions as well.

Q: Do I have to be photographed in lingerie or in wraps?
A: Of course not! These sessions are about YOU feeling beautiful about yourself. Whatever you want to wear is entirely up to you. If you feel best in a dress that flatters you, or your favorite outfit, I can photograph you in that. This session is whatever you want it to be!

Q: Where does my session take place?
A: Sessions can be in my studio or in the comfort of your own home. My home studio features a private room with a plain black, white or brown background or in an antique Victorian guest bedroom. I am also willing to meet you at your home or the setting of your choice if that is more suitable to your perfect session. Please note, my home studio has a cat so if you’re allergic, we’ll need to make other arrangements - though he doesn’t really shed much and he’s usually hiding during the shoots! He can also be enclosed in another room altogether.

Q: What times do sessions usually occur?
A: I am available almost any time of the day or night, within reason : ) I am willing to book around your schedule, especially if these are set in your home.

Q: Will you put my images on your website?
A: I only put images on my website from women who agree, in writing, to be part of the public portfolio. You get to choose which images go on and which do not. I believe the point of these images is to help you feel more confident in your body and yourself and if you don’t want others to see your images, they won’t be shared.

Q: What if I am uncomfortable with my body?
A: The purpose of these sessions are to inspire self esteem by using flattering light and poses to enhance your best features.  We are all unhappy with something about our bodies – my job is to help you celebrate the beauty that you have and help you to see yourself in a unique way.

Q: What should I bring?
A:
Clothing: Many women choose to be photographed in lingerie, wraps, or sheets. But you can dress however you feel comfortable. If you just want a session in normal clothing, that’s OK with me! If you want to wear lingerie, bring something you feel sexy in. If you decide to wear underwear as part of your lingerie, choose underwear that fits more loosely to avoid red lines. Black is a good basic color, but anything works. Push-up bras are a favorite, as well as underwear sets with matching robes. Bring more changes of clothing than you think you will need so you have a good variety! Another favorite is sexy shoes - high heels, boots, or whatever you think you’d like. I have a selection of freshly laundered sheets and satin or sheer wraps that can be used as well. And if you’re more comfortable, you can leave your underwear on underneath wraps and sheets.

Makeup: You’re the best judge of what looks good on you. Do whatever it is that makes you feel confident in your beauty before the session - it could be lots of makeup or none at all. Then bring along extras for touch ups.

Hair: Again, you know what works best. Go with whatever is comfortable, natural and makes you feel beautiful. If you want to bring curling irons, hair brushes or anything for touch ups, please do so. I have a small private bathroom that can be used for this purpose.

Music: I always suggest my Real Women bring a selection of music that helps them feel comfortable during the shoot. I have a CD player that I can use to put on any CD you like. I also have outlets if you want to bring your I-POD and a docking station.

Props: If you have an idea, bring it along. Anything you want to try is fine by me – feather boas, top hat and cane, red umbrellas, fur coat, crazy jewelry, your wedding tiara….this should be fun! Also feel free to bring a friend and /or a bottle of wine!

Q: Will anyone else be present at the time of my session?
A: No! The only person in my home studio will be me and you and a friend if you decide to bring one.

Q: Who edits the photographs?
A: I believe in absolute discretion and I am the only one who edits these photos.

Q: Do you do nudes?
A: Not typically. I believe a woman can be sensual without being completely naked - I believe the photographs are more powerful with the suggestion of nudity instead (ie lingerie, wraps or creative lighting). However I have done successful nudes in the past that are still more discretionary than revealing. So we can do whatever you’re comfortable with.

Q: Can I talk to one of your previous Real Women if I have questions about what the sessions are like?
A: Absolutely. I am happy to connect you with one of my previous Real Women who can tell you more about the experience. You can also email me at any time with more questions jacquelynn@jacquelynnbuck.com
