San Francisco: Travel with me Thursdays

Meandering up the Coast

When I travel, I have taken to being more instantly available to my friends and followers by posting on my Instagram account @lifeunsensored and let’s face it, it’s easier to go from phone to post in 3.5 seconds. But I do have a travel camera. And it did travel with me to China, Japan, Bali, even on shorter trips to favorite places, like San Francisco.

San Francisco, Paso Robles, Monterey and Pigeon Pointe

It had been almost 6 years since I had been to San Francisco and the drive there, as well as the days spent hiking the hills in the city, drew me in as before. Coastal Route 1 was still barricaded at Big Sur, so those breathtaking views were closed to us, but new views were found and savored in Monterey, Pigeon Pointe, Santa Barbara, and of course, the City by the Bay. It was a foodie-driven, chilly spring trip, but one worth the drive.

Dreams Fulfilled

A year later, I had the joy of fulfilling a photographic “wish list” item to capture an engagement session in San Francisco. You can see those images here: https://jacquelynnbuck.com/everafters/mc-san-francisco-engagement-session-part-1/and here  https://jacquelynnbuck.com/everafters/san-francisco-engagement-session/
I just love San Francisco  – the vibe, the hills, the ocean as seen from every angle, the food stalls in the Pier buildings, the trolleys, the Golden Gate Bridge which, I won’t lie, is pretty stunning as landmarks go when seen in person, the plethora of Peet’s Coffee Shops…it’s got allll the feels. If you want more (so much more) on San Franncisco, head over to Lonely Planet and research their guide books! I still love buying or downloading guide books because I feel like they have sooooo many options in just one place!
