Madison – Class of 2020 University High School

With so many disappointments plaguing the human race right now, the one thing we can celebrate, if not in person at least in pictures, are our 2020 graduates. They worked hard to get where they are and they deserve to be recognized for those achievements, even in the midst of chaos.

Madison is a graduate of University High School in Tucson. Her Tucson senior pictures featured literally only one square block in Tucson’s downtown, but so much variety (why I love where I live!). She really wanted to feature some of our talented artist’s murals as a backdrop because she is planning to pursue a degree with an art history focus. She also wanted to commemorate her years of being a Drum Major and playing the Tenor Sax by bringing one of her instruments with her. I definitely love highlighting the talents and interests of the senior in their Tucson senior pictures!

I wanted the session to mix both our desert sunshine and some dramatic light against our many backdrops, but in order to be mobile and portable, I brought one light – my Profoto B10 – on a lightweight drop stand and diffused with a small octagon softbox. It was perfect for both dramatic and soft lighting on scene. I just recently purchased this light and let me tell you – it does an amazing job, and more importantly it hardly weighs anything in comparison to my B1s!

Are you graduating in 2021? Now is the time to book your senior pictures in Tucson! Fall is super gorgeous and will be here before you know it! I love spring, too, of course, but a fall session guarantees you’ll have an image ready for the yearbook deadline! See some of my other high school senior pictures on my Instagram account just for seniors or here on my website.
