Did you know that from 1994-2000 Harley-Davidson tried to trademark the sound that the V-Twin engine made? They weren’t successful, but mostly because their competitors fought hard against them owning that obviously recognizable roar. It’s a culture. A lifestyle. A statement. A love mark. Harley-Davidson motorcycles are a certain kind of something. They inspire their owners to take long road trips to nowhere in particular. To crank it on just to hear the sweet sound. To rev the engine while driving through tunnels because it’s cool. To put their newborn babies up onto it for a really amazing phenomenal (no children were in danger during the making of this photo) image. And I am just along for the ride. Enjoy!
