Tucson Senior Picture Experience for Guys

Yes, I CAN get amazing photos from the Tucson Senior Picture Experience for Guys! I know it seems impossible. But, it’s not only possible, but it’s fun (promise), even if your son is a reluctant (at first) participant!

I know, it seems like it would take a miracle to get your son to not only show up for pictures, but also wear something without holes or scuff marks and actually smile authentically. But miracles happen every day : ) and this one isn’t as hard as it seems. It starts with getting him involved in the planning, which I am always happy to do. I ask questions about hobbies, locations he likes, clothing he wants to wear, and I give him choices so that he feels like he can really participate in the process. But here’s the thing about the Tucson Senior Picture Experience for Guys when it comes to me, Photography by Jacquelynn, I am really good at reading the room. If your son wants to get super involved, change clothes, bring his guitar, bring his car, bring his boxing gear and weight bench, bring his football uniform or letter jacket, heck yes. The more involved he is, the better. But if he literally is doing this senior portrait session just for you, because you asked and because he knows you really want some great senior pictures of him, then that’s what I do. I prioritize and customize the session to be as short (or as involved) as he wants it to be. If his biggest fear is “this is going to drag on for hours” then, no worries, it won’t! But regardless of outfit number or duration of session or length of time shooting, I always deliver a senior portrait that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall. And yes he will be smiling for real (whatever version of a smile is truly “him”).

Waylon was one of those guys that actually was excited about his Tucson Senior Picture Experience for Guys with Photography by Jacquelynn. He had input into his clothing, I had already worked with his sister a few years prior so he knew that he was going to get something fantastic (from experience to final photos) and, bonus, I let him do all the poses he wanted. He wanted to flex his muscles, he wanted to do a hero pose, he wanted to climb a mountain. So we did it all. And the amazing thing is that his mom found me online and flew here from out of town just for his senior photos, and did the same 2 years prior for her daughter’s senior pictures. Talk about warm fuzzies!
