Tucson urban senior pictures

Ella’s Tucson urban senior pictures were a dream. We started in Tucson’s gorgeous downtown and we had the perfect blue sky day for the photos. We bounced around the barrios and took advantage of the colorful doors and walls that the city has to offer and even found some urban garden spaces and corrugated tin fences. My favorite photo was when I asked her to stand on a tall wall and took photos from below with some of the Tucson buildings in the background.

All the outfits Ella chose for her Tucson urban senior pictures were spot on. She looked cute and trendy but did it with her own style and grace. The see through brown top with the bralette and the wide leg jeans really stole the show but she also looked fab in the black romper over the white tee. And adding the fun hat just made it perfect.

Ella’s poses came naturally and she knew exactly what she wanted for these Tucson urban senior photos. She had a fabulous serious face, even though it was hard for her not to smile! She later told me that she had so much fun and I am thrilled to have been able to give her that experience.

I always try to bring an assistant with me to the sessions because then I can concentrate on shooting while he makes sure the light is in the right place with my direction. I love that I can take natural light photos with my Nikon Z5 Mirrorless and but also that I can use created off camera light with my Profoto Lights.

Here is another example of a fun urban senior photo session that I did that was very different. There’s so much variety in downtown Tucson! But we didn’t stop in with the urban – we planned for and made time for some desert photos around sunset as well. Stay tuned for those!
