Tucson Family Pictures with Water

It’s easy to know why some families choose to have their Tucson family pictures at this beautiful location. And while it’s hard to believe that there is water like this in the desert, there is. It’s an oasis of green and gold with a lake and palm trees in the middle, with a distant mountain view. This is the perfect location for Tucson family pictures if you want something a little different. There are still elements and hints of the desert in this spot – mesquite trees and low lying cactus. There are also some cute buildings, one that even looks like an old wooden cabin with a red door. But mostly the draw is the lake, because, well, water is hard to find!

These Tucson family pictures included three children and a very high energy dog, plus mom and dad. I loved the colors they chose for their session – the navy blue and orange really worked and popped out against the green mesquite trees and the lake. The dog even smiled for some of the photos! I took a variety of poses to include the children by themselves, the three kiddos together with and without the dog, and mom and dad alone. And of course I captured the whole family! When it comes to Tucson family pictures I try to make sure to get lots of different groupings. And I think it’s always important to get the kiddos alone, especially since school pictures didn’t happen for a lot of kids this year.

I definitely love taking Tucson family pictures at a variety of locations across Tucson. There’s something for everyone when it comes to scenery. From the tallest of mountains with a sunset view, to the tallest of Saguaros found only in this part of the world, from green grass and trees, to low lying brush that glows gold in the setting sun. There really is no end to what is possible. When a family books a session with me we always discuss location and clothing and get to the heart of the perfect spot for their Tucson family pictures.
